All Service Delivery Staff have a role in providing ongoing training and coaching support to match members, whether through formal training sessions or match monitoring. We’d like to send a special thanks to the Enrolment Team who have been instrumental in setting our Mentors up for success. This includes their seamless transition to incorporating new BBBS Canada Project Ignite Standards in 2021. This was when BBBSC introduced the pre-recorded Strong From the Start Training and live Developmental Relationship Training.

After a nearly 3 year pilot, BBBSC is affording agencies more flexibility to decide the best way to deliver the DR Training and Strong From the Start Training at the local level. Therefore, it’s a perfect time to assess what has worked, what could work better, and what we’d like to incorporate moving forward.

Please answer the following questions as honestly as possible. We recognize there are gaps in our current training and orientation processes, even when it comes to staff onboarding. So if you don’t know what a certain type of training is, when it’s conducted, or who does it, that’s okay. The information provided here will help us identify not only what material can be covered more effectively for Mentors and Families, but also for Staff.

This may take between 10-30 minutes. Thank you for making time for this important stage of understanding where we’re at in order to know where we need to go.
