On Tuesday, February 27th Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel ushered many Rock ‘n Bowl stars from all eras of rock history into the Brampton Bowling Lanes for our Tim Hortons Rock ‘n Bowl for Kids Sake event.
The event was a smashing ‘platinum hit’ with all 16 lanes sold out and over $25,000 raised. Thanks to The City of Brampton for their huge contribution in raising $22,000.
A special thank you to Ingrid Jagtoo and Councillor Pat Fortini for leading those fundraising efforts and organizing many bowling teams to fill the lanes at the event. Councillor Fortini was awarded highest fundraiser.
All night, the Brampton Bowling Lanes were filled with happy bowlers, food, drinks and laughter. Thank you to Jack Astors for keeping our rock stars happy by supplying lane-side food and snacks throughout the event.
Congratulations to first-timer team, Brampton Transit for winning the Best Spirit Award and to our very own Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel team for winning the Best-Dressed Award for the evening.
It was inspiring to see the community come to together for a fun night and an important cause. Thank you to all our bowlers and fundraisers, year-after-year you continue to make these events a success.
