By registering for the hike you will be supporting the Meghan Crook Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist youth within Big Brothers Big Sisters achieve their dreams of post-secondary education. Your can register individually or as a team.
Megan was a former Little Sister who then volunteered as a Big Sister and was a York Regional Police officer. Meghan tragically passed away earlier this year in a snow mobile accident at the age of 31. Meghan was a strong advocate of mentoring. She believed in opportunities and that everyone should have a chance to achieve their goals. This scholarship honours her and hopes to create a legacy in her name that will encourage students of all ages and backgrounds to reach their full potential. Anyone can change their life, and everyone can make difference.
Each year beginning in 2022 two youth will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship. All youth within BBBS will have the opportunity to apply beginning in February 2022.
